Everyone and Everything Is Inter-connected….Believe it…

Some years ago Margaret Meade, the visionary social scientist, said, “A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

I don’t think the current global economic situation or the aftermath of 9/11 fit her intention, but they sure fit the truth of what she said. Look at the power a small group of committed people, (you can add greedy to the one happening now), had. According to one report I read, this whole global crisis was created by about 200 people at the heads of a handful of financial institutions, mostly in the USA.

The results prove to me beyond a doubt that we are all now so interdependent on each other that a small force applied at the right time and place can create huge impact around the world. Maybe that can be true for positive outcomes, too. Why does it seem so easy for destructive things to happen as a result of the actions of a few-and so hard for constructive things to happen?

What do you think?
